Whether you’re looking for a summertime swim, trout fishing, or an afternoon of frolic with your kids in the water-themed playground and discovery garden, Blue Lake Regional Park is sure to please.

The 101-acre park includes many covered and uncovered picnic areas, playing fields for sports like softball, and a cross-country course. It also features three ponds and a wetland in addition to the lake. Click for more.

Boating

During the summer, families can rent paddleboats and rowboats to enjoy the park’s namesake lake. Privately owned watercraft are also allowed on the lake from October through April, as long as they are 14 feet in length (17 feet for canoes) and no more than 3.0 horsepower.

The park has a huge kid’s playground and a great sprayground for the hot Oregon days! You can also find a discovery garden, sports facilities, and even a wetland with a viewing platform and trail.

If you are looking for a quick bite, there is a cute cafe named Carlino’s Pizza & Deli near the entrance of Blue Lake Regional Park. They serve good pies and delicious quick meals like tater tots, burgers, and fries.

Fishing

If you like fishing, there are plenty of activities to do at Blue Lake Regional Park. You can rent paddle boats and rowboats or fish in one of the well-stocked ponds. The park is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful lake views. It is also home to deer and other wildlife.

The park is stocked with trout in the spring. Largemouth bass and other panfish can be caught with flies, spinners, or bait. A must-see place!

Hiking

Throughout the park, you’ll find a mix of hiking and nature trails. You’ll also find wooded areas, three ponds, and a wetland. You can also explore the park’s namesake lake, a playground for kids, and a golf course.

Blue Lake Regional Park has various lake views, different activities, Golf courses, picnic areas, and a huge playground for kids. You can also enjoy a relaxing swim in the Blue Lake’s water.

Picnicking

Disc Golf

Disc golfers can enjoy an 18-hole course throughout the park. The course has holes for all skill levels, ranging from narrow challenging holes that require pinpoint accuracy to wide-open fairways where bombers can show off how far they can throw their discs.

The course was designed by champion disc golfer Dave Feldberg with help from locals. It is open all year from 8 am to legal sunset.
