Fernhill Park

Fernhill Park is a hidden gem in North Portland. The huge open space features a running track, a dog park, sports fields, and tennis courts. A mile-plus perimeter dirt loop encircles the entire site. This is the perfect place to do intervals on the track or mile repeats on the trail. This is a fantastic article to read.

It’s a dog park

This park features a huge field where dogs can run until they’re exhausted. The off-leash area is fenced and has plenty of space to roam around and play fetch. This park also has a lot of trees to provide shade and cool off the canines. This park can get very muddy, so you should bring good shoes.

The only drawback is that it doesn’t have a water station, so you’ll need to bring your own. Nevertheless, this is one of the most popular Portland dog parks.

Make sure your dog is current on all vaccinations before you take him to a public park. Just like in other social situations, dogs can share illness and disease with other canines. This can result in kennel cough, which is a serious complication. So, always check your dog’s health before visiting a Portland dog park. This is especially important if you plan to take your dog to a fenced off-leash area.

It’s a playground

It is also a favorite training ground for local high school and college track and cross-country teams. It is a great spot to get a workout in and enjoy the beautiful scenery of Portland’s Cully, Concordia, and Alberta neighborhoods.

This neighborhood park is known for its sledding hills and a free summer concert series. It is also home to the annual easter egg hunt and several other public events. It is a great place to bring the whole family and let them burn off some energy.

This tucked-away park features an off-leash dog area, sports courts, and a nature patch. It also offers a splash pad, tennis courts, and playgrounds. This park is located near downtown Portland and has a view of Mount Tabor. Visit another area in town here.

Whether you’re looking for an intense workout, a leisurely walk, or a fun family outing, Portland has something for everyone. For those who aren’t ready to dive into a lake or pool, Portland offers several splash pads and fountains for kids of all ages. These kid-friendly water features offer a safe and fun way to beat the heat. To find one in your neighborhood, click on the neighborhood links below. It’s a track

The 26.7-acre Fernhill Park is one of the largest parks in the Concordia neighborhood of Northeast Portland. It features a large off-leash dog area, sports fields and track, playground, picnic shelters, tennis courts, free summer concerts, and more. The park also hosts a variety of community events and educational activities.

The park has a mile-plus perimeter dirt loop that’s ideal for interval training and distance work. It also has a few short inclines that make it perfect for fartleks or hill repeats. Just four laps around the track and you’ll have completed a mile.

The newest addition to Fernhill is the Visitor Station, which helps guests understand how water travels through use, treatment, and back to the Tualatin River. This is a great place for students and groups to learn about ecology. Guests can also visit the wetlands, observe coyotes and beavers, or go birdwatching. Portland Audubon is one of the organizations that offer guided tours in the park. Continue reading about Cully Park.
