Trailhead

Located in Forest Park, the Lower Macleay Park Trailhead is a great place to start a hike in the Portland area. The Upper Macleay Trail is less crowded than the Wildwood Trail. The trail begins in the forest and passes a grove of Douglas-firs. It then passes through a small pollinator garden and climbs above the salmonberry bowl. The trail eventually returns to the junction with the Wildwood Trail. The trail is about half a mile long. Witch’s Castle

Located in Portland, Oregon, the Witch’s Castle is a ruined stone house. This little stone building was built by an angry father who was displeased with his daughter eloping with a servant’s son. Apparently, it’s not the first time a castle has been built in the Portland area.

Witch’s Castle is actually part of a hike called the Lower Macleay Trail. This trail is located in the 5,000 acre Forest Park, which is located northwest of Portland’s downtown. The hike is relatively easy and has a few ups and downs. It is also a great place to take pictures.

The Lower Macleay Trail is a creek side trail that is easy to follow. The trail starts off with a paved path and transitions to a nonpaved route. There are many trees, ferns and bushes along the trail. The trail also features a nice little interpretive map. There are no parking spots along the trail.

The Stone House is a stone building located at the junction of the Lower Macleay Trail and the Wildwood Trail. This is the perfect place to take a picture of the Witch’s Castle. It’s also a fun place to play, especially with kids.

Pittock Mansion

Located in the West Hills, Pittock Mansion is a beautiful French Renaissance style chateau. Pittock Mansion is located on 46 acres of property. The mansion is a popular tourist destination, and tours are available. The mansion is open for tours daily, except on holidays. Admission to the mansion is $11 for adults, $8 for children ages 6 to 18, and free for children 5 and under.

Pittock Mansion is owned by the Bureau of Parks and Recreation. Pittock Mansion offers hiking trails for visitors. The trails are located in a beautiful garden with panoramic views of Mt. Hood. The fields are especially beautiful in the springtime, when the fields are covered in light-skinned wildflowers.

Pittock Mansion has five apartments, and two sleeping porches. The mansion is furnished with top-of-the-line 1914 technology. The fields have purple and light-skinned wildflowers, and cherry blossoms in mid-March. The grounds are also home to a pollinator garden.
