Playgrounds & Sports Facilities

Tucked away in a quiet neighborhood this park offers beautiful trails, two playground areas, wildlife, a covered pavilion and picnic area, restroom facilities, 2 creeks, paved paths around the lake, sports fields, & ADA accessibility on 15 acres. Parking is rarely a problem here as the neighborhood is large. The only drawback is there are always a lot of goose droppings, so sometimes I avoid taking my dog during certain times of the year.

Surrounding Summer Lake is 30 acres of the park featuring walking trails, footbridges over the lake, tennis courts, a baseball field, a rhododendron garden, play spaces, rentable picnic shelters, an off-leash dog park, and more. This is also a great spot for bird watching, especially for waterfowl like mallards and common mergansers. If you enjoy skating, this is the place to be in Tigard for its skate park named after former mayor Jim Griffith and featuring mini bowls, a concrete dinosaur, a rotating volcano top, street features, and a pair of large flow bowls.
